    Can I say this here?

Monday, December 17, 2007, 11:25 PM PST [General]

This is a post I've been hesitating to make. Not because there's anything really wrong with what I want to say, but because I feel I've made a bit of a reputation in some circles as someone who normally wouldn't touch this topic with a 20 foot pole. But I need to say this.

I have a DVD for sale on eBay right now. About three days left in the auction. This is another of Wendi's products that I've been meaning to sell for a while. The name of the product is The Big O.

Yes, her DVD that explains how to hypnotically produce, um,  feelings of bliss and pleasure.

There's a couple CDs included in the package as well.

Like most of her stuff, the techniques are very good. I was in her PalTalk ... group, I guess, when she first released this product and she explained it for free in her PalTalk broadcast. It's a simple technique in practice, but it's also pretty complex in what it does. It stacks a few anchors (and yes, some are the obvious ones, while others are not so obvious) onto the back of the hand. Wherever you want to anchor it, really, but the back of the hand works the best for how she does it.

I bought it partly because I was hypnotized to by Wendi. ;) But also because I thought that the knowledge might someday come in handy in my practice. This isn't the kind of prurient video you might see on YouTube or other websites.

This is something that actually could be used in a therapeutic setting, for a client with sexual dysfunction, for example. Or maybe you've got someone who's never experienced an orgasm (there, I said it! :o); this could conceivably be used to teach them what it feels like and how to get used to it.

    Or something like that.

If you're interested, go take a look at The Big O auction. So why am I selling this, if it's so good and useful? Well, I'm glad you asked.

I've learned the process and since I have a good memory (and have it written down, too), I don't really need the DVD anymore. At the same time, I do need some extra money coming in. I don't think I posted it here yet, but I lost my day job at the end of November and I've been struggling to get things off the ground here since. I have enough money for a little bit (there was a bonus included in the last paycheck), but everything that brings money in is welcome.

Plus I'm staying at my parents' for the nonce and I'd just as soon not explain it to them, lol. Like I hinted at the beginning of this post, I'm a bit embarrassed to have this DVD. I probably shouldn't be, but I am.

So again, if you're at all interested in this, please look at The Big O auction and place a bid.

PS. Also watch this space for a product launch of my own soon. Hopefully. Nothing major or spectacular; most likely a CD or two for one of the staples.

    A Christmas Script

Sunday, December 2, 2007, 12:03 PM PST [General]

Okay, so this isn't really a script, but more of ... a type of suggestion, I guess. You'll see what I mean below. ;)

At church today, the pastor did something that I think makes for a great hypnotic suggestion/intervention/whatever you want to call it. This is something that is more on the spiritual side of hypnosis, so if you're not into using spirituality in any way, shape or form, you might not want to read further. Then again, you may see a way to incorporate this idea in a way that fits with your approach, as well.

The pastor had us think of something in our life that's in turmoil. Perhaps a relationship that needs work. Or maybe an addiction we might be struggling with. Think of that thing and make a commitment to give it up to God (higher power, subconscious mind, whatever works best for your paradigm). He then had us take a star ornament out of a basket and hang it on the tree as a visible sign that we've given this up to God.

I couldn't help but look at that from a hypnotic standpoint. What if we gave our clients a small ornament to hang on the tree, along with a posthypnotic suggestion that whenever they look at it, they are reminded that they've given the struggle over to God/Higher Power? Whenever they look at it, they're reminded that they're free from their smoking, their drinking, their anger, their X. That it's not up to them to power their way through with willpower; it's gone and Someone Else is letting them be free of it.

If they don't have a tree, maybe a small picture to hang in a window or tape to the wall could be provided.

    What do you think?

Listen to a $480,000/yr NLP practitioner share ...

Sunday, October 28, 2007, 06:17 PM PST [General]

    ... his secrets.

For those who may be wondering where I've been, I've been focusing on a couple things: a conversational hypnosis audio program (more on that later) and internet-based marketing. The latter focus has brought me to a webinar going on right this very second at http://instantteleseminar.com/?eventid=1055847. Ben Mack, magician and marketer, interviews Joost, an NLP practitioner from the Netherlands.

Yes, this is part of Ben's marketing efforts (part of what they are discussing is his Direct Response Branding product), but based on past webinars I've listened to of his, there will be some useful free information in there, as well.

Feel free to come join the webinar.

    MSN on depression and happiness

Wednesday, October 10, 2007, 06:14 AM PST [General]

I ran across an interesting article on MSN the other day that discusses the importance of being happy, and how optimists tend to live longer. How to Think is a short article by one of the writers for Prevention Magazine, and I thought it was of interest to us hypnotists.

Unfortunately, I'm running late here and have to run to work. If I get the chance, I can expand on this post later in the day. Sorry!

    New domain chosen

Thursday, September 27, 2007, 05:55 AM PST [General]

Well, I ended up having to make a decision last night, so I went with firegoldhypnosis.com. It's the shorter of the two search engine-friendly ones. I am still open for suggestions, however, as I can always get a second domain and see which works better. ;)
